I Choose Health

My health is important. I choose to prioritize my health to ensure I have the strength and energy to do the rest.

Your health is important. It affects your physical, mental, and emotional well-being. It also influences your ability to do the things you love, such as spending time with your family and friends, pursuing your hobbies, and exploring new experiences. However, in today’s busy and fast paced world, it can be challenging to prioritize and maintain your health. You may face obstacles such as lack of time, motivation, or resources. You may also have habits that are detrimental to your health, such as eating poorly, being sedentary, or neglecting your sleep and rest.

Fortunately, you can overcome these challenges and improve your health by making some simple and realistic changes in your lifestyle. You do not need to follow a strict diet, exercise regime, or schedule. You just need to be mindful of your choices and actions, and find what works best for you.

Acts to Prioritize Your Health

I find prioritizing my health is a wise decision.  I want to remain active (with my family and friends).  I want to be able to try new things and not worry if I am physically able. Here are four things I do to prioritize and maintain my health:

  1. Establish a balanced and nutritious diet: I focus on consuming a variety of whole foods, including fruits, vegetables, proteins, and healthy fats. I limit processed foods and sugar.
  2. Engage in regular physical activity: I incorporate exercise into my routine every day (first thing in the morning). I also add extra activities that I enjoy including walking, hiking, and dancing.
  3. Prioritize sleep and rest: I strive to get enough quality sleep each night.  I found adding an eye mask helps me get uninterrupted sleep to allow my body to rest and rejuvenate. I stopped looking at my phone right before bed and instead close my eyes and do a meditation.
  4. Manage stress effectively: I have found healthy ways to manage and reduce stress.  My practice of choice journaling and living my compass keep me grounded.  I enjoy spending time in nature which bring me joy and peace.

Remember, small, consistent steps towards prioritizing your health can have a significant impact on your overall well-being. Listen to your body, be kind to yourself, and make choices that support your physical and mental health. Your health is a valuable asset that enables you to live a fulfilling and vibrant life.
