Gratitude is the greatest gift we can give ourselves and others.
Do you have an attitude of gratitude? It has the ability to transform our perspective and bring immense joy and fulfillment into our lives. When we express gratitude, we shift our focus from what is lacking to what we already have, creating a sense of abundance and contentment.
By practicing gratitude, we become more aware of the blessings, big and small, around us. It allows us to appreciate life, the kindness of others, and the opportunities that come our way. Gratitude opens our hearts and minds, fostering a positive outlook and attracting positivity. It strengthens our relationships, deepens our connections and fosters a sense of appreciation and respect. Ultimately, gratitude is a gift that keeps on giving, as it not only brings us joy and fulfillment but also inspires and uplifts those around us.

Your Turn:Â Gratitude Reflection
It is not happy people that are grateful, it is grateful people that are happy.
Become Aware
- What does gratitude mean to you?
- How do you feel after you thank someone?
- How do you feel when someone thanks you?
Be Grateful
- Identify three things you are grateful for today. Consider the previous 24 hours and the next 24 hours. They can be simple or significant, related to your personal life, relationships, work, or any other aspect. Expand on why you are grateful for each of them.
- List three things you often take for granted. Consider aspects of your life that you may often overlook or take for granted. It could be your health, access to clean water, a stable job, a loving family, or any other blessings that you may not always fully appreciate. Reflect on why they are important to you.
- Think about someone who has had a significant influence on your life, whether it’s a family member, friend, mentor, or even a stranger. Write a list of why you are thankful for their presence, support, or the lessons they have taught you.
Take Action
- What actions can you take during your day to show your gratitude and how can you incorporate them into your day (without taking any extra time)?
